GRESB’s 2020 Real Estate Assessment Pre-Release is now available for download.
One of the interesting changes this year is that GRESB now rewards the tracking of waste volumes and recycling rates at the asset level i.e. per building.
This aligns with many office fund managers’ current drive to have cleaning contractors and waste contractors work together for more accurate weighing and tracking of waste streams from office buildings.
We would also recommend beginning the journey with your asset’s first NABERS Waste Rating.
NABERS Waste now allows varying levels of data quality collection, as an easier entry point with less capex and opex for weighing and tracking of recycling rates.
And getting a NABERS Waste rating along with two other ratings (Energy and say IAQ) also assists your GRESB rating as described in this post
