It’s been six months in the making, but IWBI and NABERS have developed the following guidance to illustrate how NABERS Indoor Environment (IE) ratings can assist projects in meeting WELL v2 criteria.
Crosswalk is designed for customers that are pursuing dual certifications or ratings under WELL and NABERS IE and is designed to create a streamlined pathway, especially for ongoing requirements under WELL for annual monitoring of various indoor environment quality (IEQ) related metrics.
The collaboration allows customers to get maximum benefit from their IEQ testing, giving them the ability to take one set of measurements that can then be applied to both rating tools.
This crosswalk document highlights where NABERS IE measurements or NABERS IE scores can be used to achieve a WELL v2 feature during initial WELL certification, annual monitoring and/or WELL recertification.
IWBI has evaluated this mapping and has provided rulings for entire features or parts that are satisfied by NABERS IE scores or average measurement levels.
To be eligible to use this tool, the project boundary of the NABERS IE project must fully encompass the project boundary of the project pursuing WELL certification.
At a time when building health is highly sought after by savvy tenants, this should come as welcome news to real estate asset managers.
If you would like more information on how you can take advantage of the crosswalk for NABERS IE and WELL Building Standard please get in touch with one of our experts.
